When life gives you lemons you must make lemonade. So turn something sour to sweet….like being thrown into prison for wrong paperwork. Totally logical right? No its not! First I would like to know why the judge thinks that would make the Norris’ feel any better! But then again to say a quote like that to someone you just sent to prison for paperwork, what was I expecting. Situations like these really make me upset. There seems to be no justice, although I could tell that this article was definitely biased into making the government look even worse. America is supposed to be a leader and while we try to be the nice guy to the world, our own people, like orchid growers, are being suspected of terrorism. People will say better safe than sorry but I say please use common sense in the process. And if we are so paranoid that elderly orchid growers are going to blow our country up, that doesn’t exactly make us look secure and powerful. I mean seriously, even if you haven’t read this article if I told you that a 60 something year old man was put in prison for improperly filing paperwork to import orchids, what would you say? There could be more to the story and probably is because the article focused on the wrong doing of the government rather than the specifics of why the improper paperwork was such a problem. But even so my response if I heard that would be WHAT!!!!! So this story is a reminder to watch yourself even with the simplest things because something big can always happen, and I didn’t even talk about the guy who was sent to prison for neglecting fuel cells while he was in the court being pressed with other charges( another mislabeled package!!).

A common mistake our court systems are mostly judged based on guilty until proven innocent. Not the way we should be doing it innocent until proven guilty.
